The Concept - Remember the thrill when you found that unbelievably smooth
piece of Seaglass on the beach? We are
proud to offer a beautiful and unique selection of Artwear, featuring Seaglass
created in our studio from art glass, antique
and recycled glassware. Each of our handmade designs celebrates the beauty found
in everyday objects, uncommon
elements and anything else fun that comes to mind.
The Artists - Carol and Mark Hall, partners in White Light Productions,
began making jewelry from ocean-tumbled glass
collected on the beach in the Bahamas. As their work’s popularity grew
and the glass supply dwindled, they began
producing Seaglass in their studio.
Both Carol and Mark bring vastly different artistic backgrounds and strong
opinions. This powerful combination sparks
tremendous creativity. Carol is back to being blonde this month, with many bizarre ideas
and a fine arts degree. She started painting
on silk in the 80’s and then branched out to jewelry. Mark is her husband,
who got his wish to marry a blond. He has 30
years experience giving Carol practical input (childhood sweethearts). She was
a natural blonde when he started designing for
theatre and television. Mark is a natural blonde, yet their daughter, Rowan,
uses the brown crayon when she draws him as his hair has gotten so dark,sadly it is headed for gray.
The Creations - Our jewelry line boasts a rainbow of colors that have
been carefully blended in chromatic palettes,
finally utilizing Carol’s fine arts degree, as well as her childhood obsession
to have all of her Crayolas in the correct order.
The process of tumbling broken shards into Seaglass smoothes the sharp edges,
creating soft, touchable gems. Your
clients will have a hard time putting this work down – it just begs to
be fondled! They will also find it takes on a beautiful
luster when worn. Our attention to detail is evident in subtle intricacies,
such as hand hammered hoops or gradation of
color.
We Are Color - Color sells year round! Our line has the widest possible
color choices combined into beautiful gradients. We have classic color palettes
that are always fashionable and colors for all seasons, which is the reason
why your clients need to have their favorite earrings, bracelets and necklaces
in multiple palettes.
